De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde made quick work of Lyceum of the Philippines University, 25-16, 25-17, 25-14, on Friday in the NCAA Season 100 women's volleyball tournament at the Jose Rizal University gym in Mandaluyong.
Clydel Catarig had 19 points from 14 attacks, four blocks, and an ace, along with six excellent digs to lead the Lady Blazers to their second straight win after their straight sets loss to Colegio de San Juan de Letran.
"Nung mga nakaraang game, hindi gaanong [maayos] ang laro ko so ngayong game, kailangan ko bumawi, kailangan ko makapuntos para makatulong sa team," Catarig said.
Zam Nolasco added 13 points as the Taft-based squad improved to 5-1.
The Lady Pirates continued to struggle as Joan Doguna had 10 points in Lyceum's third straight loss.
Benilde will go against Emilio Aguinaldo College on Thursday, while LPU will take on San Sebastian College-Recoletos next Friday.
