The University of Perpetual Help System DALTA recovered from a slow third set en route to a 25-18, 25-16, 25-18 victory over Emilio Aguinaldo College in the NCAA Season 100 women's volleyball tournament on Saturday at the Arellano University Gym in Manila.

The Lady ALTAs relied on the towering middle blocker of Winnie Bedaña and Daizerlyn Uy with both players churning out 12 points in the three-set victory as they improved to 5-0.

The Lady Generals, on the other hand, slipped to 1-4.

Perpetual, which was on a high following four straight victories against San Beda University, Jose Rizal University, Lyceum of the Philippines University, and Arellano University, struggled early in the third set with EAC cruising to a 7-3 lead.

The Las Piñas crew slowly crawled back with Shaila Omipon helping them create a 15-12 cushion as the momentum completely swung onto the side of Perpetual.

EAC mounted some fightback by pulling to within one, 14-15, but Perpetual responded with a 4-0 rampage capped by a Pauline Reyes opposite attack to establish more separation at 19-14.

Camille Bustamante made it a 23-17 lead before Bedaña hammered back-to-back quick plays to deliver their fifth win in as many games and monetarily take the solo lead.

Cara Dayanan was the sole bright spot for EAC as she posted 12 points in the loss.
