For the NCAA volleyball committee, De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde and its women's volleyball team head coach Jerry Yee did not violate the rule prohibiting head coaches of professional teams to hold concurrent head coaching posts for participating teams in the NCAA.

The development was confirmed by the said committee to GMA News Online on Friday.

Arellano University recently sought an inquiry regarding Yee's status as the latter was listed as head coach of the Lady Blazers during their first match last February 22. Yee is also the head coach of ZUS Coffee in the Premier Volleyball League.

After Arellano's inquiry, correspondences were made between the committee and Benilde regarding Yee's status, with the committee concluding with the said finding.

The committee is composed of NCAA Management Committee members Fr. Victor Calvo, OP of Colegio de San Juan de Letran and Frank Gusi of University of Perpetual Help System DALTA. Arellano's Peter Cayco, also a member of the volleyball committee, inhibited from the proceedings.

Arellano has also accepted the conclusion made by the committee.
