Lyceum of the Philippines University head coach Cromwell Garcia kept mum regarding the reason why his two veteran players Venice Puzon and Joan Doguna have yet to see action in the NCAA Season 100 women's volleyball tournament.

Garcia bared their absence so far is "confidential" but the school is already taking care of the matter and shared the seasoned setter Puzon and prized outside spiker Doguna will return hopefully next week.

"Hindi ko pa siya pwede i-discuss, confidential siya eh," Garcia told GMA News Online.

"Waiting na lang kami. Baka next week andiyan na ‘yan."

Previously, Garcia cited 'technical issues' but did not add other details.

Without the two, the Lady Pirates have fallen to an even 1-1 card to open their campaign.

LPU was off to a good start by sweeping Emilio Aguinaldo College with a 26-24, 25-15, 25-21 win in the season opener last Thursday before falling to Arellano University on Saturday, absorbing a 27-25, 25-22, 25-21 loss.

Veteran all-around spiker Jaja Tulang is currently leading the short-handed LPU, dropping 12 points against the Lady Generals and churning out 14 markers, seven digs, and nine receptions against the Lady Chiefs.

The 21-year-old setter Katrina Paula Galedo, meanwhile, has been given the keys to lead the playmaking amid the absence of two-time Best Setter Puzon.

LPU will continue its campaign next Saturday against University of Perpetual Help System DALTA at 11 a.m.
