Reyann Cañete and Angel Habacon are expected to lead San Beda University in the NCAA Season 100 women's volleyball tournament.

Cañete, the league's Best Opposite Spiker in Season 97 when she was still with San Sebastian College-Recoletos, will be playing her final year and will come in as the most experienced player among the Lady Red Spikers. This will also serve as her return to indoor volleyball after missing last year's tourney due to an injury.

Habacon, meanwhile, reset the league's scoring record last year when she dropped 36 points against Jose Rizal University. With her consistent showing, Habacon was named as Rookie of the Year last season.

In the beach volleyball tournament this season, Cañete and Habacon, along with Katleya Molina, gave San Beda a bronze medal finish.

With Cañete and Habacon's experiences, along with the players' talents, the Mendiola-based squad will hope for a better showing this season after finishing seventh with three wins and six losses.

Aside from Cañete, Habacon, and Molina, Janelle Bachar, Gwen Bañas, Amber Biong, Sophie Cagalawan, Chynna Castillo, Jayde Dela Cruz, Gina Espina, and Erin Navarro will also be returning for San Beda, along with more than five newcomers.

The men's team, meanwhile, will seek a return to the Final Four after missing it last year as it finished sixth with a 4-5 record. In Season 98, the Red Spikers reached the finals and even one won against eventual champs University of Perpetual Help System DALTA in the best-of-three series.

AJ Rus, Axel Van Book, Ralph Cabalsa, and Mohammad Tahiluddin are returning for the men's squad, along with Amie Bakil, Eddie Dela Cruz, Eduwin Kasim, Alsenal Miljani, Mark Kevin Montemayor, Alener Munsing, and Ryan Rosman. Joseph Acosta II, Dominic Castañeda, Gian Gallano, Raniel Ignacio, and Janiul Samuel will also come in to help the Red Spikers in their bid.
