Wins have been scarce for the Emilio Aguinaldo College women's volleyball team the past three seasons as it racked up just three wins in 27 games.
The Lady Generals had a dismal 2-7 record in Season 97 before encountering a bumpier road come Season 98, which saw the wards of head coach Rod Palmero collecting a lone victory against San Beda University as they ended up with a 1-8 card.
The following year, wins became more elusive as EAC finished with a winless campaign after nine games.
Hoping to turn things around in the historic centennial edition, the Lady Generals are parading a revamped roster amid the departure of their usual suspects Cath Almazan and Krizzia Reyes.
Now tasked to lead the way are veterans in outside spiker Jen Omapas, setter Anne Formento, and middle blocker Jamaica Villena alongside other holdovers Alex Razonable, Rhea Magalona, Georgeena Lut, and Karyle De Andres.
The rest of the Lady Generals, meanwhile, are composed of all rookies with Elizza Alimen, Jasmine Balasan, Erica Bodonal, Cara Dayanan, Florence Domo, Gekeshzra Garcia, Achellis Lepiten, Ashley Magnayi, and Marinel Ramos.
For EAC's men's squad, there's a tall task to follow up on what they accomplished last year, when the Generals made it back to the finals round for the first time in eight years.
With the troika of Jan Abor, Ervin Osabel, and Marvin Romero at the forefront, EAC ended up as the second seed to enter the championship round against eventual winner University of Perpetual Help System DALTA.
Osabel and Romero, though, have both graduated and Abor remains as the veteran in the team that also includes other holdovers Kenenth Batiancila, Paul Say, Joshua Olivo, Mark Santos, Dearborn Saria, and Frelwin Taculog.
Completing their roster are Richard Ballelos, Michael Gela, Paul Gura, Jan Magpantay, Mark Palatino, Edward Rosagaran, Randy Sabella, Basty Santiago, and Ralph Tamayo.
