Graduating Cloanne Mondoñedo and Louie Ramirez are set to end their respective college journeys on top of their class as they are named NCAA Women's and Men's Volleyball Player of the Year, respectively, in the Collegiate Press Corps Awards Night slated on June 17.

Mondoñedo will be receiving the honor after orchestrating De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde's three straight championships in the women's side, while Ramirez skippered University of Perpetual Help System DALTA en route to a fourth consecutive crown.

Four other athletes will be hailed as Players of the Year with Kevin Quiambao and Kent Pastrana bagging the UAAP Men's and Women's Basketball Player recognitions for guiding De La Salle University and University of Santo Tomas to the summit of UAAP basketball actions.

Quiambao and Pastrana also lead the Mythical Five selections.

Meanwhile, setter Joshua Retamar and two-time MVP Bella Belen have been named the UAAP Men's and Women's Volleyball Players of the Year for likewise steering National University to the throne of UAAP Season 86 in both divisions.

This will be the first time that athletes from men's volleyball and women's basketball are given their much-deserved spotlight in the annual CPC awards.
