Roxie Dela Cruz moves from Mapua to LPU

Roxie Dela Cruz is taking her talents from Mapua University to Lyceum of the Philippines University.

LPU announced the development on Friday.

"The LPU community is excited to see you sailing for success and making waves for thrilling matches together with the LPU Lady Pirates," the university said in its post.

Dela Cruz, who was recognized as the 2nd Best Outside Spiker in the recently concluded NCAA Season 99 volleyball tournament, spent two seasons with the Lady Cardinals.

In Season 99, Dela Cruz was Mapua's second highest scorer with a total of 106 points at the end of the elimination round. She was also among the league's top receivers and diggers.

The Lady Cardinals fell short of reaching the Final Four as it finished fifth with six wins and three losses.

Dela Cruz will join the likes of 1st Best Middle Blocker Hiromi Osada, Janeth Tulang, Johna Dolorito and Heart Bio as the Lady Pirates hope for another Final Four run.
