Bembem Bautista and Rilie Sta. Maria powered Colegio de San Juan de Letran past San Beda University, 26-24, 23-25, 25-23, 25-17, on Saturday in the NCAA Season 99 men's volleyball tournament at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
Sta. Maria had 21 points, while Sta. Maria had 20 points as Letran improved to 5-3 in the continuing race to the semis.
Axel Van Book had 22 points, while Mohammad Shaif Ali Tahiluddin and Anrie Bakil chipped in 14 points as the Red Spikers went down to 3-5.
San Beda will go against Mapua University on Tuesday, while Letran will still face San Sebastian College-Recoletos on Wednesday.
