Jose Rizal University barged into the win column of the NCAA Season 99 men's volleyball tournament after its straight sets victory against Lyceum of the Philippines University, 25-18, 25-21, 25-18, on Saturday at the Filoil EcoOil Centre.
Ken Daynata posted 16 points, while Matthew Miguel added 13 points as the Heavy Bombers improved to 1-5.
Jun Edang had 16 points as LPU was kept winless in six games.
JRU will face San Beda next on Wednesday, while the Pirates are set to face Colegio de San Juan de Letran on Tuesday.
