Kyle Villamor stars anew as San Sebastian outlasts Benilde in five-setter

Kyle Villamor starred anew as San Sebastian College-Recoletos outlasted De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde in five sets, 12-25, 25-23, 25-23, 22-25, 15-8, on Wednesday in the NCAA Season 99 men's volleyball tournament at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

Villamor posted 28 points, 26 of which came from attacks, on top of 17 receptions to lead the Golden Stags to claim its third victory and improve to 3-1.

San Sebastian led early in the deciding set, 8-2, before eventually getting the win.

Joshua Espenida had 17 points, while Rhenmart Alba had 14 points for the Golden Stags. Jan Kerk Arano, meanwhile, had 25 excellent sets for San Sebastian.

Harold James Marasigan and Arnel Christian Aguilar had 20 points apiece for the Blazers, while Jacob Herrera and Mike Balbacal had 15 and 14 points, respectively as Benilde slipped to 1-3.

On Sunday, Benilde will face Colegio de San Juan de Letran while San Sebastian will go against Arellano University.
