Reyann Cañete out for Season 99 due to finger injury | NCAA Philippines

Reyann Cañete hit a snag in her much-anticipated NCAA return after she sustained a season-ending injury ahead of Season 99 women’s volleyball tournament.

The fourth-year opposite hitter shared to GMA News Online that she suffered a fractured ring finger on her right hand during a tuneup match last March 20, ultimately ending her season.

The 5-foot-7 spiker will be out for more than two months as she has to wear a cast for six weeks and rehabilitate for three more weeks.

Cañete was supposed to suit up for San Beda University after sitting out last Season 98 due to residency.

Prior to moving to Mendiola, she played for San Sebastian College-Recoletos and won the Best Opposite Hitter award in Season 97.
