Filipina heroes will rise: NCAA Season 99 Women’s Volleyball Tournament airs on GTV

A new era of volleyball action is set to stir excitement among sports enthusiasts as the much-awaited National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Season 99 Women’s Volleyball Tournament officially kicks off this Sunday, April 7, live at the FilOil EcoOil Center, San Juan City and simulcast on GTV.

Ready to fly high to snag the top prize this Season 99 are the 10 highly competitive participating teams: Arellano Lady Chiefs, Letran Lady Knights, Benilde Lady Blazers, EAC Lady Generals, JRU Lady Bombers, LPU Lady Pirates, Mapúa Lady Cardinals, San Beda Lady Red Spikers, San Sebastian Lady Stags, and Perpetual Lady Altas.

With eyes on a three-peat title, the defending champion Benilde Lady Blazers are all set to fire up the new season as they face the EAC Lady Generals in the first match at 12 p.m.

Following this is the action-packed faceoff between the JRU Lady Bombers and the Perpetual Lady Altas at 2:30 p.m. 

“The NCAA Volleyball Tournament will give the fans exciting matches starting April 7. We will  see the veteran players of each team back in action together with the rookies from which new heroes of the game will emerge. And, speaking of new faces, the NCAA is bringing back volleyball fiesta, our girls and boys volleyball tournament. NCAA fans will get a load of volleyball games beginning April. Don't miss it!,” shares NCAA Season 99 Management Committee Chairman Mr. Paul Supan.

“Since the opening of NCAA Season 99, we have been witnessing new heroes rise from the various sporting activities. As the NCAA Season 99 Women’s Volleyball Tournament officially begins this Sunday, we expect to see women athletes shine as they enter their own era in the volleyball scene,” says Senior Vice President and Head of GMA Integrated News, Regional TV, and Synergy Oliver Victor B. Viewers can catch the NCAA Season 99 live games on GTV every Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays at 2:30 p.m., Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., and Sundays at 12:00 nn. There will also be a delayed telecast every Monday and Thursday at 2:30 p.m.

The action in the league continues as the NCAA Season 99 Men’s Volleyball Tournament also commences this Sunday at the FilOil EcoOil Center, San Juan City. Game 1 will be the battle between the Benilde Blazers and the EAC Generals at 7:30 a.m. Game 2 will showcase the faceoff between the JRU Heavy Bombers and the defending champion Perpetual Altas at 5:00 p.m.
