Kapuso artists Cassy Legaspi, Angela Alarcon, Lyra Micolob happy to be among athletes in NCAA All-Star Game

Kapuso artists Cassy Legaspi, Angela Alarcon, and Lyra Micolob are excited to be back on the court as they will play in the NCAA Season 98 Volleyball All-Star Game.

Legaspi, who has been playing volleyball since she was 12 years old, said this is, to some extent, the fulfillment of her high school dreams.

"It's an honor to be even a part of this. It's one of my high school dreams to play volleyball professionally. Alam ko isang game lang 'to and it's an honor and I'm very excited," Legaspi told GMA Integrated News.

("It's an honor to be even a part of this. It's one of my high school dreams to play volleyball professionally. I know this is just one game, and it's an honor and I'm very excited.")

Singer and XOXO member Lyra Micolob, echoed Legaspi.

"Actually pangarap ko talaga 'to. Sabi ko pag may All-Star Game, sana pasalihin ako. Ito na 'yun. Excited ako and super happy kasi finally, super tagal ko na di nagpe-play sa court," said Micolob, who has been playing since she was in high school.

("Actually this is really a dream for me. I've said that if there was an All-Star Game, I hope they would let me play THis is it I'm excited and super happy because finally, I haven't played on the court in a long time.")

Meanwhile, Sparkle artist Angela Alarcon said she plays volleyball for fun.

"For fun, naglalaro ako. Pero hindi naman seryoso. Nung grade school ako, nasubukan ko mag-join ako ng volleyball club pero isang year lang yon so hindi talaga ako expert sa field kong ito."

("For fun, I play. But nothing serious. When I was in grade school, I tried to join the volleyball club but that was just one year so I'm not an expert in this field.")

Despite this, Alarcon said she is excited to play with NCAA stars.

Legaspi and Alarcon are part of Team Heroes while Micolob will play for Team Saints.

Catch the game this Sunday, April 23, 2023, 2:00 p.m., live on GTV and via livestream at the NCAA Philippines and GMA Sports PH pages.
