University of Perpetual Help System DALTA and San Beda University will shoot for a piece of history when they go at it one last time in Game 3 of the best-of-three finals series in the NCAA Season 98 men's volleyball tournament on Sunday at 2 p.m.

The ALTAs are vying for their third straight title and 13th overall in the league to tie Colegio de San Juan de Letran for the most number of men's titles. The last time Perpetual completed a three-peat was 10 years ago, when they ruled for four straight years from 2011 to 2014.

The Las Piñas crew will be hoping to have Louie Ramirez back to his old and healthy form after the Season 98 MVP had to sub in and out of the latter sets in Game 2 due to cramps. Despite his limited time in the match, Ramirez still top-scored his team with 32 points built on 24 attacks, four blocks, and four aces.

His production, though, was not enough as San Beda eventually won the game in five sets to level the series and force a decider.

For their part, the Red Spikers are eyeing to rewrite history and bag their first-ever men's volleyball title.

Tipped to lead San Beda are the duo of rookie Ralph Cabalsa and Kenrod Umali, who churned out 19 points apiece in the hard-fought 17-25, 25-27, 25-22, 25-23, 15-11 comeback victory last Friday.

San Beda is also looking to complete a Cinderella run after having booted out perennial contenders Emilio Aguinaldo College, who was the Season 90 champion, and Arellano University in their stepladder Final Four games.
