San Sebastian gets breakthrough win in five-setter against JRU | NCAA Philippines

San Sebastian College-Recoletos barged into the win column after outlasting Jose Rizal University in a five-setter, 17-25, 28-26, 14-25, 25-16, 15-9, on Saturday in the NCAA Season 98 women's volleyball tournament at the San Andres Sports Complex in Manila.

KJ Dionisio tallied 27 points for the Lady Stags while Tina Marasigan added 24 points from 20 attacks, three aces, and a block for the win. Vea Sison also made significant contributions as she had 17 excellent sets and three points.

This is the Lady Stags' first win after falling in their first six games in the season.

The Lady Bombers, meanwhile, were kept winless in seven games.

San Sebastian will hope to win their next remaining games against Emilio Aguinaldo College on Tuesday and San Beda University on Saturday to end their season with a decent record.

Meanwhile, JRU will try to collect as many wins as possible when they face EAC on Friday and defending champs De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde on Sunday.
