Perpetual stretches NCAA men's volleyball win streak to 28, takes down San Beda

 

Two-time defending champion University of Perpetual Help System DALTA extended its winning streak to 28 after taking down San Beda in four sets, 20-25, 25-23, 25-17, 25-16, in the NCAA Season 98 men's volleyball tournament on Friday.

Perpetual improved to 6-0 to remain unbeaten in 28 games dating back to Season 93 in 2018 while San Beda dropped to an even 3-3 card.

Louie Ramirez led the charge for the ALTAs with 23 points while also collecting seven receptions while Jefferson Marapoc chipped in 16 markers built on 13 attacks, one ace, and two blocks as the three-peat seeking Perpetual remained immaculate.

The Red Lions leaned on Ralph Cabalsa and Kenrod Umali who finished with 18 and 16 points apiece.

 

 

Meanwhile, Colegio de San Juan de Letran recovered from a first set hiccup to eke out a 19-25, 25-21, 25-21. 25-15 victory against De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.

Vince Himzon continued to roll for the Knights, pouring 18 points anchored on 14 attacks and four blocks while Angel Romdel Canzana and Christer Ambrocio chimed in with 13 and 12 apiece as Letran hiked its standing to 3-3.

The Blazers, on the other hand, fell to 2-5.
