With nothing to lose, Colegio de San Juan de Letran head coach Mike Inoferio shared that his wards fought for pride in 'Battle of Intramuros' with neighbor Mapua University.
The Lady Knights, who were already out of Final Four contention prior to the match, put the Lady Cardinals in a dangerous spot after their 25-17, 25-21, 25-18 sweep on Wednesday.
With the loss, Mapua is in a must-win situation on Saturday when it takes on Emilio Aguinaldo College in a bid to salvage its Final Four dreams.
Inoferio added that the latest win over Mapua will serve as a stepping stone for the team for their next campaign come NCAA Season 98.
"Para rin 'to sa mga bata, malaking bagay 'to going to our game against San Sebastian and at the same time, para pagdating din ng next season..." Inoferio added.
"Kasi wala naman ng mawawala sa kanila so basically, magandang preparation 'to at magandang lesson 'to para sa kanila."
Letran improved to 2-6 while Mapua dropped to 4-4 to hang by a thread in the team standings.
