CSB head coach Jerry Yee says team being 'complacent' despite 4-0 start

Despite De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde's strong start in the NCAA Season 97 women's volleyball tournament, head coach Jerry Yee said the team has been complacent, especially during the win against Emilio Aguinaldo College on Friday.

This complacency, according to Yee, is something that the team will work on when they train again tonight.

"I don't know if other people see or don’t see. Nagiging complacent kami and 'yun 'yung i-work out namin [mamayang] 6 pm. It’s not being arrogant or whatever. I have to look at the team and see ‘yung magiging downfalls namin," Yee said in a post-game interview on Friday.

For Yee, there was something unusual with the team's performance against EAC.

"Tinitingnan ko ‘yung level of excitement ng game namin, parang flat. I hope I don't come off as negative or hindi kuntento or perfectionist. Tayo, bantayan natin kung anong dapat natin i-work."

CSB will take on the streaking Mapua University in their next game on Tuesday.
