San Beda ready to show claws in NCAA Season 97 in bid to bag first title

San Beda University remains as one of the four teams who has yet to bag a title in the NCAA women's volleyball tournament alongside other title-less squads Mapua University, Emilio Aguinaldo College, and Lyceum of the Philippines University.

In Season 95, San Beda was able to pull off a few surprises, reaching that season's Final Four stage with a 6-2 win-loss card but the pandemic halted their chances of bagging the crown.

This Season 97, the Lady Red Spikers would want nothing less than a title.

Bannered by team captain Justine Lapid, San Beda will feature a rebuilding team as mainstays Cesca and Daryl Racraquin as well as Nieza Viray have already left the Nemesio Gavino-mentored squad.

Still with the team are Justin Buno, Patricia Cenzon, Trisha Mae Paras, Francesca Salansang, and Maxinne Joyce Tayag. Completing the team are Hermione Ani, Aira Domingo, Jeaniella Mae Espinosa, Mikaella Galang, Miles Gregorio, Patricia Mañalac, Marianne Louise Tayag, and Sheena Toledo.
