Mapua University will look to finally move forward from a stretch of tough seasons as it starts a fresh campaign in the NCAA Season 97 women's volleyball tournament that kicks off on June 11 at the Paco Arena.
The Lady Cardinals will be bannered by Jonina Fernandez as she joins other holdovers on Jolina Babiera, Chenie Batac, Leslie Bolandrina, Allyana Cruz, Ayena Espiritu, Carla Gaudan, and Wellamae Ortega.
Meanwhile, Sunshine Dalida, Therese Manalo, Alyanna Ong, Janina Sy, and Raina Vergino complete the new-look crew of head coach Clarence Esteban.
Mapua had finished in the bottom of the standings for the past 10 seasons while they capped off the unfinished Season 95 in ninth place with a 1-7 card.
This year, Mapua is out to finally end a string of heartaches.
