Letran Lady Knights look to end 24-year title drought in women's volleyball

Colegio de San Juan de Letran will vie to end its title drought when the Lady Knights open their campaign in the NCAA Season 97 women's volleyball tournament that kicks off on June 11.

Letran has only seven holdovers from its previous Season 95 squad with Chamberlaine Cunada and Daisy Melendres set to lead the way, alongside Julienne Castro, Kathleen Dela Cruz, Edma Musngi, Lea Tapang, and Shereena Urmeneta.

Newcomers Cristine Calixto, Royce Dela Cruz, Natalie Estreller, Lastlie Isar, Angelique Ledesma, Alyssa Santos, and Lara Silva are also tipped to provide the spark for the Muralla school.

Steering the wheel is head coach Mike Inoferio as they try to improve their fifth place output in the pandemic-hit Season 95, where they drew an even 4-4 win-loss card.

Letran last ruled the women's volleyball tournament in Season 74 (1998-1999), their eighth title in the NCAA.
