Letran pays tribute to late 'Father of Philippine Cheerleading' Arnold Villanueva

Colegio de San Juan de Letran paid tribute to the late Arnold Villanueva, Letran faculty member and Cheering Squad coach, who passed away last February 10.

"You will be dearly missed, Engr. Villanueva," Letran wrote on its post along with the photos of their tribute on Saturday.

According to the Philippine Cheer Union, Villanueva, who was recognized as 'Father of Philippine Cheerleading,' handled different cheerleading teams such as the powerhouse Central College of the Philippines Bobcats and the Adamson Pep Squad. He was also a leader in different cheering organizations such as the former Philippine Cheer Alliance.
