The beach volleyball tournament of NCAA Season 99 opened on Wednesday in Subic, Zambales and the league's management committee said they are expecting a more competitive tournament.
Aside from the men's and women's tournaments, a juniors tournament is also held this season.
Defending men's champion University of Perpetual Help System DALTA and women's titleholder Colegio de San Juan de Letran also started their title defense bid earlier.
