EAC transfers hosting duties to JRU for NCAA Season 99

As NCAA Season 98 closed on Sunday, Emilio Aguinaldo College turned over the hosting duties of the National Collegiate Athletic Association to Jose Rizal University during the league's Cheerleading Competition at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.

JRU will host NCAA Season 99 which is expected to start in September.

JRU's Athletics Office director Efren Jose Supan accepted the hosting rights on behalf of their school.

"We're excited. The whole JRU community is excited and wholeheartedly accepts the hosting of Season 99," Supan said in a TV interview. "Marami tayong magagawang mga bagay to make the season more exciting."

NCAA Season 98 saw San Beda University win the championship in men's and women's swimming, juniors and seniors' chess, and men's online taekwondo, while University of Perpetual Help System DALTA won titles in men's beach and indoor volleyball and boys' volleyball fiesta.

Colegio de San Juan de Letran dominated men's and juniors' basketball and women's beach volleyball, while De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde won the women's volleyball tournament and women's online taekwondo. EAC took home the girls' volleyball fiesta title, Arellano won in the juniors' male online taekwondo, while Jose Rizal University again reigned supreme in track and field events.
