CSB, Arellano rule NCAA 96 juniors middleweight/light heavyweight, heavyweight divisions in speed kicking

Rise Up Stronger: NCAA Season 96

The College of Saint Benilde and Arellano University dominated their respective divisions in the NCAA Season 96 juniors speed kicking event on Monday.

CSB's Raphael Ongkiko garnered 7.067 points for the gold medal in the middleweight/light heavyweight division while two student-athletes from the Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) impressed as John Keirth Beramo scored 6.667 and Bermel Dionela  Jr. notched 6.458 to bag the silver and bronze medal, respectively.

Jaybe Bermudez (6.258) and John Michael Cadampog (6.025) of San Beda University, meanwhile, completed the list of participants.

In the heavyweight division, AU taekwondo jin Joshua Lyndon Dionio tallied 6.592 to claim the gold while Jian Alden Jose Arceo of SBU scored 6.017 for silver.

Bill Rolan dela Cruz of host Letran settled for a third place finish after collecting 5.942 markers.

Marcus Neil Delos Santos of EAC (5.592) and Zaphrael Rey Castro of Benilde (4.608) were the other contestants.
