University of Perpetual Help System DALTA flaunted a balanced offense to demolish Lyceum of the Philippines, 71-39, and gain solo top spot in the NCAA Season 100 juniors basketball tournament on Monday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre.

The Junior ALTAs never took their foot off the gas pedal as they improved to 4-1 while the Junior Pirates continued their search for a breakthrough win as they slipped to a 0-5 record.

Lebron Jhames Daep led the way with 11 points, seven rebounds, two steals, and one block while Jim Corpuz tallied 11 markers as well to go with three boards, three dimes, and two steals.

Perpetual's 46-point halftime production was all they needed to pull away for good against the struggling LPU as Icee Callangan, Corpuz, and Daez joined forces in their first half domination.

Meanwhile, Mapua University stormed back from a 15-point lead to escape Arellano University, 81-78, and secure back-to-back wins.

The Braves went off early and established a 19-4 lead late in the first quarter, but the Red Robins slowly crawled out of that hole with Ruzzel Del Poso completing a layup for a 77-76 lead in the final 1:38.

Carl Rodriguez then sank two charities to seal the comeback act for the Red Robins with eight licks left to play, 81-78.

Sean Salvador posted 20 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and one steal while Yuri Duque and Del Poso chipped in 16 and 15 markers apiece.
