Colegio de San Juan de Letran is set to appeal the case of Jimboy Estrada, who was ejected late in their 71-61 loss to University of Perpetual Help System DALTA on Sunday at the Filoil EcoOil Centre.

Knights head coach Allen Ricardo said his camp has already written a letter addressed to commissioner Ogie Bernarte, hoping for the league to reconsider the call.

"I-a-appeal pa naman namin. Gumawa na ng letter 'yung assistant coach namin so isa-submit na kina commissioner," Ricardo said.

"Tingin ko naman kasi si Jimboy, 'yung stance niya ay going for a blocking out or boxout eh. Hindi naman talaga niya intention.  Baka they can consider it, kung hindi intentional."

Estrada was first whistled for an unsportsmanlike foul early in the third period before the star transferee was called for a technical foul late in the fourth, resulting in his ejection.

This, in effect, will merit an automatic one-game suspension for Estrada based on the league rules.

This could be big for the Knights as they would be taking on Mapua University which was coming off a huge win against Jose Rizal University. They will also be looking to halt their two-game losing skid.

Ricardo, however, remains positive despite the possible absence of Estrada in that match set on Friday.

"We try to give our best effort sa upcoming game versus Mapua at sa mga succeeding games pa namin. Sa seven games feel ko, maka-lima ka or anim, medyo may kaunting liwanag sa number four spot," he added.
