Harvey Pagsanjan flexed his offensive prowess as Emilio Aguinaldo College clicked on all cylinders in dismantling San Sebastian College-Recoletos, 97-86, in NCAA Season 100 on Tuesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Generals, who were coming off a tough loss to JRU last Friday, have now improved to 4-5 to create a three-way tie with Perpetual and Lyceum.

The seasoned guard led the way with a career-high 20 points on 7-for-9 shooting from the field alongside three rebounds and two assists as the Generals, who were coming off a tough loss to JRU last Friday, improved to 4-5 to create a three-way tie with Perpetual and Lyceum.

“We badly needed this win kasi ‘pag natalo kami, we’re gonna be at the bottom of the standings so it still gave us a fighting chance,” EAC head coach Jerson Cabiltes said.

EAC was quick to impose its scorching offense, building 54-41 halftime lead that the Generals turned into a massive 70-49 cushion in the third, thanks to three straight baskets from Pagsanjan and several key baskets from Kyle Jacob.

But the Stags mounted a big fourth quarter behind the hot shooting of Raymart Escobido, who fired four triples in the payoff period, but the Generals had every answer to the Stags.

Sealing the win were a pair of three-pointers from Pagsanjan and Kyle Ochavo, who also starred with near triple-double of nine points, eight rebounds, and six assists.

King Gurtiza and Wilmar Oftana chipped in 14 and 10 markers apiece as EAC got a huge momentum before heading to the second round.

Tristan Felebrico paced the Stags with a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds while Escobido tallied 19 markers, three boards, and three steals.
