Perpetual, San Sebastian meet in battle of new NCAA coaches; LPU, Mapua face off | NCAA Philippines

New NCAA coaches Olsen Racela of University of Perpetual Help System DALTA and Arvin Bonleon of San Sebastian College-Recoletos will battle each other for the first time in NCAA Season 100 on Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

The Altas are coming off a win against Emilio Aguinaldo College last Friday and currently has three wins and two losses.

With three days for the Altas to prepare, Racela said the Las Piñas-based squad will allot time for his player's recovery.

"They're really playing very well," said the first-year Perpetual coach. "I think it's a matter of how we stop their running game so with that, kailangan namin ng fresh legs."

The Golden Stags, meanwhile, have suffered three straight losses after winning their first two games.

Lyceum of the Philippines University and Mapua University, on the other hand, will banner the second game at 2:30 p.m.

Both teams are eyeing to extend their winning streaks as the Pirates have won back-to-back, while their Intramuros neighbors have won three straight.

Perpetual is currently at 2-2 while Mapua is at 3-1.
