After a 0-4 start in NCAA Season 100, Arellano University was already hungry for a win.
On Sunday, the Chiefs devoured what was on their plate as they dominated San Sebastian College-Recoletos, 87-73, and barged into the win column.
Kinain namin hanggang maubos namin ang oras," T-Mc Ongotan said, as he waxed poetic after his career game where he had 21 points.
Chiefs head coach Chico Manabat also said the players just committed to play hard as they were already pressured to win as well.
"Yung mga bata, they commit to play hard and gusto nila tapusin.
Ito na ang pressure to win, so we just need to handle that," he added.
While it took the Chiefs a while to notch their first win, Manabat is hopeful that this will spark better results for his wards.
"Ang sinasabi ko sa kanila, we stick to each other kasi it's a test ng binubuo naming culture dito sa Arellano," Manabat said.
The Chiefs will return to action on Wednesday when it faces Jose Rizal University.
