A 'better' Allen Liwag is making his return to the NCAA.
After a year of being in residency, Liwag will now suit up with De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde for the league's centennial season.
While waiting for his comeback, the 6-foot-6 Liwag joined offseason leagues and was tapped by Strong Group Athletics in the Dubai International Basketball Championship and the Jones Cup. These experiences, according to Liwag, helped him become a better player.
Before joining the Taft-based squad, Liwag has shown his talent with Emilio Aguinaldo College back in Seasons 97 and 98.
In Season 98 alone, Liwag posted averages of 10.2 points and 8.6 rebounds per game at the end of the elimination round.
As a former opponent of the green-and-white squad, Liwag added Season 100 will also be better for the Blazers.
"Better naman talaga ang Benilde. Siguro ibang Benilde lang to kasi ibang players na," he said.
Liwag will be joined by other transferees such as Justine Sanchez, Gabby Cometa, and Anton Eusebio as Benilde eyes the crown in Season 100 which will open on September 7.
