Cyrus Nitura is on the move again as the rising cager found a new home in Mapua University, ending a brief stay at the Emilio Aguinaldo College following his sudden departure at University of Perpetual Help System DALTA.
Mapua head coach Randy Alcantara confirmed the development to GMA News Online on Tuesday.
Nitura left the ALTAs after their NCAA Season 99 campaign last year, capping off a two-year stint in Las Piñas that saw him emerge as the one of the school's top scorers.
He then jumped ship to the Generals' camp last February and joined the squad of head coach Jerson Cabiltes as they look to build a strong foundation in bid to bring EAC to top.
But his stay there didn't last long either as he decided to bring his talent to Intramuros with the Cardinals, where he will be under the guidance of veteran tactician Alcantara.
Nitura will be eligible to suit up in Season 101.
Nitura was a key cog in Perpetual's run in Season 99, putting up 10.11 points, 6.83 rebounds, 3.78 assists, 1.39 steals, and 0.5 blocks and forming a formidable core with Jun Roque, Mark Denver Omega, Jielo Razon, and Christian Pagaran.
But he, alongside Roque and Omega, all decided to leave Perpetual with the other two moving to Colegio de San Juan de Letran.
In Mapua, Nitura is tipped to boost the Cardinals' core made up of reigning MVP Clint Escamis, JC Recto, Marc Cuenco, and recruits Lawrence Mangubat, Chris Hubilla, and Cyril Gonzales.
