University of Perpetual Help System DALTA staged one of the biggest comeback acts in the NCAA Season 99 juniors basketball tournament with no less than Scottie Thompson witnessing the Junior Altas' 'Never Say Die' spirit.
The Junior Altas once found themselves deep in an 18-point hole before unloading a massive second half en route to a narrow 91-90 victory and forcing a winner-take-all Game 3 on Saturday.
Thompson, one of the pillars of Barangay Ginebra, said the Junior Altas personified exactly the similar NSD mantra the Gin Kings have been known for in the PBA.
"Sobrang proud ako sa kanila and nandito naman ako to support them. I give credit to the coaching staff, especially Coach Joph, sa adjustments nila coming sa second half," said Thompson, who also serves as the seniors team manager.
"Down sila but they never gave up, they showed ‘Never Say Die’ spirit so sobrang nakaka-proud."

The win was a testament to what Thompson and Perpetual are trying to build in the NCAA: a winning culture.
"Nandito ako to help the organization, the school, and as an alumnus ng Perpetual, unang-una ‘yung high school namin ay bini-build naming program for college," Thompson added.
"Kami ngayon, all-out support para sa juniors namin and of course, to create a winning culture dito kasi ang tagal na naming nawala sa Final Four."
