Colegio de San Juan de Letran has named Allen Ricardo the interim head coach for its senior men’s basketball team, the school announced early Friday.
Ricardo, who also handles the Letran Squires in the juniors ranks, will temporarily call the shots for the Knights ahead of the NCAA Season 100.
He will fill the post previously held by Rensy Bajar, who was at the helm for one season after replacing three-time champion Bonnie Tan.
Ricardo, the architect behind the Letran Squires’ Season 98 championship run that ended a decades-long title drought, will look to lead Letran back to glory after a dismal Season 99 run that saw the Muralla crew rack up just two wins in 18 games.
