Coach Olsen adds Richard del Rosario to Perpetual coaching staff

Olsen Racela has started putting the pieces together as he brought in Richard del Rosario to his coaching staff at the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA ahead of the NCAA Season 100.

The ALTAs welcomed del Rosario on Monday as the squad prepares for the centennial season months from now.

The development will see Racela, who was officially tapped two weeks ago, and del Rosario continue their chemistry as they are also among the lead deputies of champion Barangay Ginebra head coach Tim Cone in the PBA.

It also marked the NCAA return of del Rosario, who called the shots for De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde from 2009 to 2013 before bringing his act to the PBA with the Purefoods and Ginebra franchises while providing guidance to notable big men like Marc Pingris, Ian Sangalang, and Christian Standhardinger.

With del Rosario on board as well as former Perpetual head coach Myk Saguiguit, Racela will look to bring the Las Piñas crew back in the Final Four after missing out in Seasons 98 and 99.

Last year, the ALTAs showed some promise behind young guns Jun Roque, Cyrus Nitura, Mark Omega, and Carlo Ferreras and veteran guard Jielo Razon as they fell just short of a semifinals spot, finishing at tied fifth with a 10-8 record.
