Mapua or San Beda: Who will be the new NCAA men's basketball champion?

Mapua University and San Beda University will battle for the NCAA Season 99 basketball crown in a best-of-three finals starting on December 6.

The Cardinals booked a finals spot after defeating De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, 77-67, in the Final Four, while the Red Lions clinched a finals appearance after erasing Lyceum of the Philippines University's twice-to-beat advantage and won in their do-or-die matchup in the Final Four, 82-72.

Games will be played on December 6 and 10 at the Mall of Asia Arena, while Game 3 of the finals will be played at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, if necessary.

The league's first-ever battle for third between LPU and Benilde will be played on December 10 at 9 a.m.

Individual awards will be handed out at 12:30 p.m. A new award, the Freshman of the Year, will be given on the same day.
