NCAA: Romel Calahat goes all-out in final game as San Sebastian escapes Arellano | NCAA Philippines

San Sebatian College-Recoletos survived a third quarter uprising from Arellano University before eking out a 98-89 victory on Friday in the NCAA Season 99 at the Filoil EcoOil Centre.

Veteran forward Romel Calahat made sure to leave everything on the floor in his final collegiate game as the Stags will end their campaign on a winning note and at a 6-12 card while the Chiefs ended their own with a 2-16 slate.

The Stags, though, had to first overcome a third period barrage from the opposition, where the Chiefs managed to pull to within just nine after being down by as much as 24, 59-50.

Calahat, however, would catch fire.

The grizzled baller made some timely baskets while also getting ample help from his teammates James Una, Tristan Felebrico, and Jacob Shanoda to end the frame up by another double-digit, 76-63.

Calahat, who only collected six points in the first half, woul then bury a triple to give San Sebastian a 94-77 cushion in the payoff period.

Although the Chiefs a got huge triple from Jade Talampas, Arellano could not completely overcome the deficit as the Stags cruised to the win.
