Benilde extends winning streak to four, puts Arellano on brink of elimination

De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde extended its winning streak to four after taking down Arellano University, 74-56, on Saturday in NCAA Season 99 at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

After leading by just one at the end of the first frame, the Blazers pulled away as it outscored the Chiefs, 23-12, and end the first half at 40-28.

The Taft-based squad had control of the game until the final buzzer as it had 18 points against Arellano's eight-point output.

Benilde improved to 8-4 while Arellano was put on the brink of elimination with as it went down to 2-10.

Will Gozum flirted with a double-double of 17 points and nine rebounds, on top of two blocks and one assist, while Migs Oczon and Miggy Corteza had 11 points apiece.

Lorenz Capulong had 18 points and 12 rebounds for Arellano.
