Jielo Razon had his best performance yet this season, steering University of Perpetual Help System DALTA to a decisive 64-50 win against San Sebastian College-Recoletos in the NCAA Season 99 on Friday.
The graduating guard put together an all-around performance of 14 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and three steals as the ALTAs snapped their two-game skid for a 2-4 card.
But Razon credited the young guns who have been carrying the load when he was struggling in the past games.
Sophomores Cyrus Nitura and Jun Roque are the current leading scorers for Perpetual.
"Sobrang masaya kasi napapadali ‘yung trabaho ko," Razon said.
(I am very happy because my work is easier. My job now is to lead and utilize their talents to fit coach's system.)
Nitura and Roque are averaging 12.8 points in five games with the former also collecting 6.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists while the latter had 6.6 boards and 2.4 dimes.
However, it was Razon who took over against the Stags.
(It's a very good feeling because after our two losses, coach Myk was stressed. That's why this is very important because we somehow want to return to how we were before, also our confidence and game play. We'll start from here.)
