Gilas Pilipinas made history on Friday as the national team ended a 60-year gold medal drought in the Asian Games.
The Philippines took down Jordan, 70-60, in the finals to claim the country's fourth gold medal in this year's Asiad.
But before donning the country's colors in the Asian stage, four of the team's 12 players shone first in the NCAA.
Scottie Thompson (University of Perpetual Help System DALTA), CJ Perez (Lyceum of the Philippines University), and Calvin Oftana (San Beda University) were Most Valuable Players in Seasons 90, 93, and 95, respectively.
Kevin Alas, meanwhile, was a star for Colegio de San Juan de Letran and was part of the Mythical Five in Seasons 87 and 88.
Arvin Tolentino, meanwhile, was a product of the San Beda juniors basketball program.
