NCAA Season 99

Alfaro bloodied, Go ejected early in heated San Beda-Letran affair

The NCAA Season 99 first round face-off between San Beda University and Colegio de San Juan de Letran got physical early in the game as Peter Alfaro suffered an injury in the first quarter.

At the 3:49 mark of the first quarter, Alfaro suffered a cut in the forehead after an apparent elbow hit from Letran's Rafael Go. Blood was seen flowing from Alfaro's head before he was brought to the dugout for treatment.

After a review, Go was slapped with a disqualifying foul which ejected him from the game.

According to a courtside report by Hannah Arguelles, San Beda's doctor said Alfaro only had a minor cut and he was eventually cleared to play. He went back at the 7:05 mark of the second frame.
