Emilio Aguinaldo College blew a big lead but pulled away late to stun University of Perpetual Help System DALTA, 75-67, in the NCAA Season 99 on Wednesday at the Filoil EcoOil Centre.

After staring at a 16-point deficit in the first half, Perpetual roared back in the third quarter after outscoring the Generals, 23 to 14, to close the gap to just 53-57 before the fourth.

Perpetual big man Mark Omega tied it all up at 57-all before JP Maguliano and Ralph Robin ignited from deep with three straight triples, 66-57.

EAC then held on to that lead until the final buzzer to get the win in their campaign opener.

The Generals, which finished last in the previous season, turned up the heat early on as Maguliano displayed his outside showing as he dropped 2-of-2 from downtown to pace the Generals with 12 points at the half.

EAC also held Perpetual blank from the rainbow country as the Altas went 0-of-12. EAC went to the halftime break enjoying a 43-30 lead, which, at one point, was at its biggest at 16.
