After being drafted in the Philippine Basketball Association, Enoch Valdez will turn his focus on the Lyceum of the Philippines University's campaign in NCAA Season 99.
Valdez was selected in the second round by the NLEX Road Warriors during the PBA Rookie Draft last September 17.
"Siyempre, first of all sobrang saya and nagpapasalamat ako kay Lord. Nagulat talaga ako kasi ang aga ng pick ko eh, sobrang dami namin tapos na-pick ako nang maaga tapos NLEX pa ang nag-pick sa'kin," Valdez told reporters during the NCAA Season 99 press conference on Thursday. "Sobrang blessed talaga ako."
(First of all, I am happy and grateful to the Lord. I was surprised I was picked early among the many applicants, and NLEX picked me. I'm really blessed.)

Despite being drafted already, Valdez said he will still enjoy his final playing year in the NCAA as the Pirates hope for another shot to the Final Four.
The Pirates finished with a 12-6 card last season and finish third overall in the tournament.

"Gagawin ko na lang, enjoy ko every game ko sa Lyceum kasi last year ko na rin. Ayoko mag-iwan ng bad memories, enjoy ko every moment," Valdez said.
"'Di naman magiging madali every game. Alam namin kung nasa'n kami pero alam namin focus on ourseves, focus on every game," he added.
Valdez and the Pirates will open their campaign against De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde on Sunday in the opening day of NCAA Season 99.
