Mapua's Joaquin Garcia out for Season 99 due to ankle injury

Mapua University's Joaquin Garcia is set to miss NCAA Season 99 due to an injury.

Mapua athletics director and representative to the Management Committee Melchor Divina confirmed the development to GMA Integrated News.

"Sa ankle," he said in a message when asked about the injury. 

Garcia is expected to have at least two more playing years for the Cardinals.

Mapua will enter the league's 99th season with an intact core which will be reinforced with the addition of former Red Robin Clint Escamis.

Season 99 will commence on September 24, with Mapua opening their campaign against San Sebastian College-Recoletos on September 26. Games can be accessed through different platforms of GMA Network.
