Andy Gemao among 80 young prospects in Basketball Without Borders | NCAA Philippines

Andy Gemao, the Colegio de San Juan de Letran Squires' high-flying guard, has been chosen to participate in the 13th Basketball Without Borders (BWB) Asia slated from June 2 to 5 at the New York University campus in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The athletic 16-year-old 6-footer was among the 80 high school-age prospects set to see action in the basketball camp.

Gemao will be joined by another Filipino cager in Jelo Mar Rota, a product of Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) Magis Eagles where he formed a powerhouse with other top high school prospects like Jared Bahay and Alden Cainglet.

Gemao and Rota have the chance to train under prominent basketball personalities such as current NBA players Saddiq Bey and Monte Morris and NBA veterans Taj Gibson and Rodney McGruder.

NBA assistant coaches John Bryant (Chicago), Ryan Forehan-Kelly (Brooklyn), Ryan Richman (Washington), Sean Sweeney (Dallas), and Mike Weinar (Indiana) will also serve as BWB Asia coaches, while Nina Hsieh (Charlotte) will serve as the camp's athletic trainer.

The camp will include drills on movement efficiency, offensive and defensive skill stations, three-point contests, 5-on-5 games, and life skills.
