NCAA juniors basketball to make comeback on February 1

After a three-year hiatus, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) juniors basketball tournament is set for its much-awaited comeback on February 1 at the Emilio Aguinaldo College Gym in San Marcelino, Manila.

On the opening game day, the defending champion San Beda University Red Cubs will go up against Season 95 runner-up Lyceum of the Philippines University at 4:30 p.m. to cap off a quintuple-header.

De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde and Mapua University will usher the Wednesday game day at 8 a.m. before Colegio de San Juan de Letran and Arellano University go up against San Sebastian College-Recoletos and University of Perpetual Help System DALTA at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m., respectively.

Host EAC, meanwhile, will open its campaign at 2:30 p.m. against Jose Rizal University.

A juniors basketball game was last played on November 19, 2019 before the pandemic halted the leagues. At the time, San Beda was still represented by the likes of Finals MVP Rhayyan Amsali, Yukien Andrada, Justine Sanchez, and Tony Ynot, all of whom have suited up in the senior ranks.

The elimination round will run until February 20.
