Former Emilio Aguinaldo College big man Allen Liwag will take his talents to the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.

Liwag's management team EOG Sports announced the development on Thursday. Benilde Blazers head coach Charles Tiu also confirmed it in a message to GMA News Online.

Tiu said Liwag is expected to suit up for the Blazers a season after his residency, which will be on Season 100.

"We have big plans for him and love his potential. We are expecting a lot from him to be honest," Tiu said, adding that Liwag will come in after Will Gozum and Miggy Corteza's final playing year next season.

Liwag said the move will be a great opportunity for him.

"It's a great opportunity po para sa akin and dahil din po kay Boss Frank [Lao]," Liwag said in a message to GMA News Online. Lao is one of the supporters of the Blazers.

Previously, Liwag said he moved out of the Generals' squad for personal growth and finding a new environment.

"Hinding-hindi ko makakalimutan lahat ng natutunan ko kay Coach Oliver. Forever grateful ako sa EAC community," he said.

In Season 98, Liwag posted an average of 10.2 points and 8.6 rebounds.
