In a surprise move, budding star big man Allen Liwag has bid Emilio Aguinaldo College goodbye after two seasons, his agency, EOG Sports Management, made the announcement on Friday evening.
EAC head coach Oliver Bunyi also confirmed the development, saying the 6-foot-6 bruiser messaged him last night to deliver the news.
Liwag is a promising cager in the NCAA, averaging 9.33 points, 8.67 rebounds, 1.67 assists, and 0.56 steals in his rookie year in Season 97 that earned him a spot in the Gilas Pilipinas pool.
He then hiked those numbers in Season 98 where he posted norms of 10.2 markers, 8.6 boards, 0.93 blocks, and 0.53 steals despite being hobbled by an injury late in the season.
But both seasons saw the Generals miss out on a playoff seat, finishing seventh in Season 97 and last in Season 98 with a 3-15 card.
