Letran's Fran Yu may have played last NCAA game after disqualifying foul in Game 2

Unless Colegio de San Juan de Letran is able to successfully appeal the decision, team captain Fran Yu may have played his last game in the NCAA on Sunday.

The veteran guard was slapped with a disqualifying foul with 5:29 left in the second period of Game 2 of their best-of-three finals series against De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, which the Blazers won, 76-71.

And due to league rules, the graduating Yu will automatically be suspended for the following game, making him ineligible to suit up for the series-deciding Game Three.

Yu, though, can still return if Letran files an appeal before the Management Committee and their protest is heard. Yu and Letran head coach Bonnie Tan, though, were mum on the incident.

The 24-year-old Yu finished with six points and a steal.
